With cuts being made to housing benefit what does that mean to people with learning disabilities wanting to live independently? There are people who want to eventually live alone or move in with a partner. They will be worse off not only with less money but with limited options in terms of places to live it makes it harder than it already is and the support that would be needed could be affected. Not only is this affecting people in Barnet but in other local boroughs across London and the rest of the country. This will leave people with no families with learning disabilities who belong to the borough of Barnet, and other boroughs, will end up with nowhere to live because they won’t have enough money to live on and they would have to find a job with which isn’t easy in the current economic climate and the recession.
